A wish for you

May you and the ones you love find deep joy and peace in this season and throughout the new year. May love and laughter and meaning fill your heart and home in all your days and nights. May you live each moment fully and savor the gifts that life brings you.

I am off for a week in New Hampshire's Mount Washington for some winter camping and climbing. I will take lots of pictures to share with you when I return. Be well, my friends.

The Last Final of the Semester

Last Final! Anatomy and Physiology Lecture final. And I do believe that I finally hit one out of the park. It's really hard to tell with this Prof's tests, though. I really put the study time in and I do feel great about it. What a relief. My first semester of Nursing School! Done. Only five more to go. I am drinking champagne and savoring the moment right now! Now to catch up on the holiday shopping. I just wanna dance and play and smile and YAAAAYYY!!! YIIPPEEE!!! Ok.... ok I know that was corny but what can I say - I feel good.

Two Down - One to go

Two tests down, one more to go. Yay! Lot's of hustle and bustle in the big city. Wishing a very happy winter season to all! I got a cold this weekend at the worst possible time. I hope today's lab practical for Anatomy and Physiology was ok. I did not get to study as much as I wanted. I can't really tell how well I did. Not perfect but I know I passed. I will have to make it up on my final. And somehow squeeze in xmas shopping, too. Happy, happy, joy, joy.....

A Few Days Off to Recharge

We took a couple of days off to run away to the Adirondaks. The cabin we stayed at is called "Wolf's Nest". It is part of a larger property called Fourpeaks owned by a poet, Martin Schwalbaum. It is very secluded and quiet, about 5/8ths of a mile walk from where you can park the car. You get a jeep ride up and down. No electricity - so no TV or phone (yay). We talked, played chess, read, slept, hiked, and baked biscuits(there is a gas stove and gas lights). No running water but wash water is brought up when you first come up. You can bring up drinking water. We brought a pump to treat the water, too. There is a gas refrigerator but we did not need it. Oh and there is a wonderful fireplace and a double bed with a down quilt. Very cozy. Definitely bake the biscuits!
