Strike! Two down...

Well we made it to school for our final this morning in spite of the transit strike. One more exam out of the way. Didn't seem too bad, but time will tell. One more this afternoon and then the comprehensive exam tomorrow.... Boy, I can not wait.

ooof! You made it to school in the strike! Sweet! My hospital has basically no contingency plan--I think they are running one or two vans but only in Manhattan. I have no idea how I'm going to get over bridge. I get docked a day's pay if I don't make a "reasonable effort" to get there. I have no idea what they consider reasonable. I don't consider walking reasonable. Hopefully it will be fixed by 6pm Wednesday...

Good luck on your tests!

Aatagirl! I was thinking about you this morning listening to the transit strike news. Good luck on getting there and good luck on the tests, too. All of mine are comps except 1, so I'm with you.

Wow - look at all you guys... I don't know about the first test but the second one was online and it gets scored right away - I got a 96... I am psyched. I don't know how 'cause while I was taking the test I was like... Ummm, I dunno, next... dunno, next... umm ok that one I know, next, no clue, next.. , dunno...., next. I felt really unprepared but then I was very happy when I saw the grade. Must of been you guys wishing me luck... Thanks! One more tomorrow and I am done!!!

One Hendricks Martini with extra olives, coming up!

There was some graffiti on a railroad underpass that I used to run by a lot years ago when I would regularly train for marathons. I'd see it at about my 12-mile mark.

It said "Relax and Believe in Yourself (signed) Andy and Andrea."

I saw it when it snowed, and I saw it on hot woolly-aired August afternoons, over and over, through several years of nursing school and a grueling self-imposed running schedule, and it became a sort of mantra for me.

It worked for me, and it will work for you. Relax. You've nothing to worry about.
