My first OR experience as a student was also brain surgery at a children's hospital. It's amazing isn't it? I never had much desire to work in the OR, but if you can get down there once in a while, it's always a great experience. When are you done?
Wow! Four week countdown! Excellent. So amazing that you got to see a major surgery, and a huge credit to you that you understand the differences of "in the OR" vs. "out of the OR" in terms of patient care.
You are going to be one super nurse, lady!
Lucky you! I've taken care of 2 patients who've had brain surgery but haven't had the chance to watch it yet. 4 more weeks!!! Are you close to graduation or about to start your senior year?
Thanks for putting your stuff out there--you give me hope! :)
Congrats on being at the end! You will be a great nurse, girl! Keep us updated...
Thanks so much for the comments! I am so sorry I have not been more communicative lately but I was sort of bulldozing my way through the last push.... And NOW ... I R a graduate. Time to study for the NCLEX!!!!
