Brooklyn Sidewalk Snail
The other day I saw this snail. It was beautiful so I filmed it. Kind of shy, though.

33rd and Bird
The other day I stopped by my favorite bird store, 33rd and Bird to pick up treats for my parrot, Leeloo. This place is pretty neat. They have all sorts of beautiful little birds flying around in the front window. In the store, they have a great selection of birds, supplies, and cages.

Barbara Dossey Interview
I found this excellent interview with Barbara Dossey interview on nurseradio. She is the coauthor of the Holistic Nursing textbook I am using right now. Check it out, it's great! By the way, poke around nurseradio a bit, too. Lots of great interviews there.

Summer Session II
I am loving my latest class in "Complementary Therapies". I spent today with my grandmother who I am doing some guided imagery with. Another homework assignment was to do a "centering" exercise for myself and to set up a space in the house for this activity. This has led me back to daily meditating and I have rededicated my altar. This is quite cool. I have wanted to do this for some time and never could get it together. Now its my homework. A very nice switch from Microbiology. I do have a paper to write and a book to read by next Friday, though, so I better get cracking! Oh and I got a B+ in Microbiology. I'll take it...

Farewell to Cubeland
Fourteen working days till I go full time as a nursing student. I was trying out my new video camera out the other day, and I decided to make this little recording of my "veal fattening cube". I am actually feeling very nostalgic and a little sad about leaving. There are many people I am really going to miss. I don't think that this video is going to be of much interest for anyone but me as sort of a momento.

A Brief Sigh of Relief
Microbiology quiz and exam done. Lab paper done. Sigh. Start my new class "Complementary Health and Healing Practices" tomorrow. No rest for the wicked!
