Good for you, Monika! I love your candor and enthusiasm for videoblogging. I have a camera, too, and have the ability to do a videoblog, but my concern is that I don't have time to perfect my technique or learn to edit.
I'll stick with the anonymous approach for now. But you and Emerging Blog have inspired me to try a more creative approach in the future.
Hey there. I really love your blog. It is one of the ones I read regularly. Please understand that I do not mean to criticize the annonymous approach at all. I just think once you put your face in front of the video camera, you can't expect it to last. I basically had an instructor tell me that I was being overly cautious today. My instincts tell me that I want to err on the side of caution for now, though. Thanks for stopping by and your comments. If you ever need help with the videoblogging, let me know.
Monika,
Wonderful intro! I'm not anonymous on my blog, either. I did get a vision of someone trying to videoblog with a bag over their head (with eyes cut out) so they could stay anonymous! LOL! I was going to be anonymous at first and used "Mistiejourney, RN" briefly, but I sounded like a stripper. I'm just more comfortable being me! : D
HIPPA (or is it HIPAA?) hangs over my blogging like a raincloud. I have so much HIPPAA fear (I'll just double both the 'Ps' and 'As' since I can never remember it), and rightly so. Anonymity issues also always have me wondering...but lately I've felt compelled to share work tales that involve my patients...all I can do is keep things as vague as possible while getting my point across.
I like that you've totally "outed" your blog-self, though. I think that's pretty darn brave. I hadn't even realized that my name is noplace on my blog until you mentioned yours!
